After the approval of the Leibniz ScienceCampus "Integrative analysis of pathogen-induced compartments" (InterACt) by the Senate of the Leibniz Association in March, the first joint InterACt kick-off meeting took place at the HPI on May 6, 2019.

Following a brief welcome by the Scientific Director of the HPI, Prof. Thomas Dobner, the ScienceCampus was officially opened with a symbolic act: Prof. Thomas Dobner, InterACt speaker Prof. Kay Grünewald (HPI, CSSB & Universität Hamburg) and vice speaker Prof. Chris Meier (Universität Hamburg) cut a white ribbon. Afterwards, Prof. Kay Grünewald gave the participants an overview of the ScienceCampus, its goals and the next steps. The event ended with a reception, at which the participants exchanged ideas on how to proceed and how to work together in the ScienceCampus.
